Sea Glass Jewellery

Sea Glass is truly the jewel of the sea with each piece taking  up to thirty years and more to be smoothed and shaped into unique jewels. The colours are muted and lovely and some are very rare.

Copper wire wrapped  pendants

I read that aqua is one of the rarer colours although locally in Scotland this is not the case.I find lovely thick white pieces and three shades of green including aqua, each piece has its own story to explore , weathered by the sea into different shapes. With sea glass you cannot plan  what you are making, the pendant follows the shape of the sea glass and this influences the design. That is why I love this stuff so much. This is also why I like wire, since wire work allows you to turn the sea glass into wearable jewellery.
